MARSEILLE-based CMA CGM has announced it will impose a general rate increase (GRI) on services from North Europe to Asia by US$150 per TEU and $200 per FEU from July 1.

The world's third largest carrier will also levy a peak season surcharge on July 1 from all Asia-North Europe services in addition to the July 1 general rate increase.

Geneva-based MSC, the world's second largest carrier, will also take the same move to increase rates on service from North Europe to Asia on the same date.
