MEMBER lines of the Asia Australia Discussion Agreement (AADA) have announced a rate increase of US$500 per TEU and $1,000 per FEU on all cargo from mainland China and Hong Kong to all points in Australia from April 1.

This increase on all dry and reefer cargo will apply on top of existing ongoing market rates and will be subject to accessorial surcharges applicable at the time of shipment, said the AADA statement.

AADA members include ANL Singapore, APL, China Shipping, Cosco, Evergreen, Hamburg Sud, Hanjin, Hapag-Lloyd, Hyundai, "K" Line, Maersk, MSC, MOL, NYK, OOCL, TS Lines and Yang Ming.
